It's 60, breezy and crystal clear in Reno after a hot, smokey weekend.
Drink Wine and listen to Journey was my coping strategy after hours.
Dig in the dirt
I spent time with my horse, my husband and my horse friends. We probably weren't as covid compliant as we should have been but it felt damn good. And I've been binge-watching Schitts Creek.
Baking sourdough and listening to Brandi Carlile. That’s all you need, really.
Mine was not checking my work email and put favorite songs on Spotify on and played along on the guitar
I have played Chopped a few times (just grab random stuff in my kitchen and have to make a meal).
When I'm in the kitchen the smoke alarm goes off
We built a greenhouse and repurposed a play house into a new chicken coop. :)
Developed this strange fascination with an odd looking goose living on the pond down the street from me. That's how I ended up seeing the bald eagle. So I was bird watching all weekend.
Horseback ride on the beach. :)
weekly penpal with elderly friend in nursing home
Good job Karsten!
Reading VERY random books that normally wouldn’t make my cycle (on Libby - just randomly pick) and I relaunched words with friends and omg I’m so bad at scrabble
Matt Chan, SBHS
Reading some behavior books currently!
TED LASSO IS SO GOOD
My husband and I are going to start it.
Preach Dr Karsten! Excellent points, now we just need to do it!
Over the years in this industry I have noticed that a lot of conflict arises from what I've called the "competition of caring." I've kept notes on this and often talk about it with vet students to be careful about that.
Stealing that phrase, Leslie!
Awesome message Melanie!
Melanie, you are spot on. This is our fault and we have the opportunity to fix it. We didn't do it on purpose, but we can purposefully change it now.
Great points, Melanie! I bet we could also pull example releases from across the nation as well - I’m happy to pull some examples from shelters on a national scope if that will help.
Bye everyone, have another meeting to attend. Have an awesome day!
